The cost of storage creeps upward

The price hikes applied exclusively to the Enterprise line of mechanical drives. The Enterprise 3.5" HDD, 24 TB model saw the largest absolute jump. It went from $769.00 to $819.00. That fifty-dollar increase reflects broader mechanical storage market trends that finally reached the UniFi store. Lower capacities were not spared from this adjustment. The Enterprise 3.5" HDD, 8 TB climbed from $329.00 to $359.00. The store also lists two different pricing tiers for the sixteen-terabyte capacity, and both went up by thirty dollars. One version of the Enterprise 3.5" HDD, 16 TB increased from $569.00 to $599.00. The other Enterprise 3.5" HDD, 16 TB listing moved from $539.00 to $569.00. Network engineers scaling out a multi-bay recorder will feel these changes immediately. Populating a high-capacity unit with those twenty-four terabyte drives now costs hundreds of dollars more than it did in June.
High churn at the top of the restock charts
General availability remained remarkably fluid. Our tracking system observed 235 distinct restock events across 97 products during July. This was paired closely with 251 sell-outs. That tight ratio between returning inventory and disappearing stock points to a store where popular items arrive in small batches and leave quickly. Following close behind, the Camera Junction Box and the Cloud Gateway Max NS each restocked five times. Network engineers trying to deploy the newest gateway hardware or link adjacent buildings had to time their orders carefully to secure the necessary parts.
Breaking the longest droughts
Despite the rapid turnover of those highly sought items, the general wait time for out-of-stock gear was exceptionally short. The median time a product spent out of stock before a restock was just three days. That three-day window means a buyer missing a restock notification on a Tuesday often had another chance by Friday. Supply chains for most of the catalog look much healthier now than they did during the hardware shortages of previous years.
A few specific items still defied that three-day median. The most stubborn supply drought belonged to a highly specialized camera accessory. Quiet arrivals in access and networking
Three entirely new products appeared in the US store this month. They spanned the networking, camera, and physical security categories. On July 6, Ubiquiti listed the Access G3 Elevator Starter Kit. This signals a push into more complex building management scenarios. Securing an elevator requires fundamentally different hardware integration than a standard door strike, and this kit packages those specific components for commercial installers.
Later in the month, camera coverage options expanded. The G6 180 Enhancer showed up on July 23. This accessory gives physical security planners a wider field of view without requiring a completely different camera body. Adding horizontal coverage to an existing deployment is usually cheaper than pulling cable for an additional camera. Finally, the UniFi Patch Cable (10 GbE) appeared on July 28. High-bandwidth backbone connections are becoming standard in small business racks and dedicated homelabs. This new cable option gives builders another way to wire their ten-gigabit aggregation switches while keeping the rack visually consistent with the rest of their networking equipment.
Looking ahead to August
The tight clustering of restocks and sell-outs across July suggests that fulfillment operations are running at high capacity.
