Storage hardware takes the spotlight
June brought a clear shift in hardware focus for the official US store. On June 18, the company released the Enterprise NAS and the Enterprise Storage Expansion. Buyers who hurried to populate those new drive bays immediately noticed a problem. The cost of official storage media shot up at exactly the same time. NotiFi recorded zero price drops across the entire catalog in June, but our trackers caught four distinct price increases. Every single one of them hit the official enterprise hard drives.
The cost adjustments were aggressive and tightly grouped. The Enterprise 3.5" HDD, 16 TB climbed from $479.00 to $539.00. The larger variant saw even more volatility. The Enterprise 3.5" HDD, 24 TB experienced three separate price hikes over the month. It started at $679.00. That base price bumped to $699.00, then jumped to $739.00, and finally landed at $769.00. That represents a ninety dollar premium added to the largest drive option just as the dedicated NAS units hit the virtual shelves. These pricing changes happened without warning. Anyone planning a high capacity storage array had their budget rewritten in real time. Alongside the storage gear, Ubiquiti introduced the UniFi 3U Bezel and the UniFi 3U Bezel Lite on June 18. These bezels help rack builders integrate the new NAS equipment cleanly into standard racks.
The daily battle for inventory
Beyond the storage drama, June was a high volume month for inventory movement. We observed 309 restocks across 111 products. Demand continues to outpace supply in several categories. The store experienced 366 sell-outs during the exact same period. More items left the shelves than returned to them. The most volatile items were primarily rack accessories and portable gear rather than core routing hardware.
The Rack Mount OCD Panels led the restock charts by a massive margin. They reappeared 24 times over the course of the month. These blanking panels constantly flicker in and out of availability. The UniFi Travel Router followed closely with 15 restocks. Portable routing gear frequently sees sporadic drops. Network bridging and power equipment also saw heavy rotation. The Building-to-Building Bridge came back in stock 13 times. Point to point wireless hardware remains highly sought after for campus deployments. Meanwhile, the UPS 2U logged 10 separate restocks. Rack mount power protection is clearly moving fast.
People building out full racks had to stay alert to grab enclosures. Both the 12U Rack Cabinet, 600 mm, Perforated Door and the 12U Rack Cabinet, 600 mm, Glass Door restocked 8 times. Securing a cabinet requires catching one of those narrow availability windows before the stock depletes again. Surveillance gear rounded out the most frequently replenished list. The Camera G6 180 and the Protect Viewport each saw 8 restocks. Multi lens cameras and dedicated display hardware are critical for security deployments, and installers snatched them up quickly.
Restock timelines and breaking the drought
Frequent restocks for high demand items might suggest a healthy supply chain, but timing is everything for a network build. The median time a product spent out of stock before a restock in June was 3 days. A three day window requires patience if an installer is waiting on a critical piece to finish a client deployment. Those who set up NotiFi alerts for specific hardware usually had a few days to prepare before a restock notification arrived. A 72 hour gap between a sell-out and a restock means project timelines can easily slip into the next week.
Some droughts lasted much longer than the median. The longest wait that ended this period belonged to the Toolless Mini Rack Stacking Kit. It sat completely out of stock for 5 weeks before finally reappearing. Extended absences like that force a choice between waiting indefinitely or sourcing third party alternatives. The eventual return of the stacking kit clears a roadblock for anyone trying to expand a compact rack setup without buying a larger enclosure. When a highly specific accessory vanishes for over a month, it stalls perfectly planned homelab upgrades.
Flushing out the wireless access points
The final piece of new hardware we tracked in June arrived slightly before the storage wave. The U7 Pro XG Wall Flush Mount appeared in the store on June 16. It offers a cleaner installation option for the top tier WiFi 7 access point. Mounting hardware often dictates how easily a new access point generation can be adopted in finished spaces. The introduction of this flush mount signals a focus on architectural integration for the newest wireless standard.
As these new mounting brackets and storage arrays reach production environments, the ongoing availability constraints will test deployment schedules. We will be watching the hard drive pricing closely in July to see if the costs stabilize or if the upward trend continues as the Enterprise NAS user base expands.
